I am interested to know what AFL followers will be doing in Thailand after the loss of Australia Network. I paid $40 to watch the early finals on watchafl.com but found it to be quite unsuccessful, to put it politely. I was able to watch one game, but last weekend I found both preliminary finals were impossible...there was some audio, but absolutely no video. I have some background in IT and was using exactly the same stuff as the week before (when it actually worked)....but zilch, I'm afraid. (Be warned. Their Support politely wiped their hands of it. "It couldn't have been their fault"). So I won't be blowing money on paying for their grand final streaming subscription, or any others in future.

Anyway, now that I know I can't rely on their streaming, I will get access to Australia Network..on their last day. But after that, I'm more interested in next year. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thankyou.

Hi jako,

Australia Network has been advertising the "pulling of the plug" or maybe they mean pulling of "something else" by the Australian Government.

They've been promoting a "Limited Service" through "Australia Plus." I've had a look at it and it seems there will be LIMITED material available through just a couple of cable providers. Doubt if AFL will be included in that next year.

I'm still trying to find out all the details from former colleagues in the industry back in Oz., so if I get anything worthwhile, I'll let you know. Would appreciate you doing the same. Meantime my messages to the PM saying "NOT HAPPY TONY" have fallen on Large DEAF EARS!

Cheers.
