Uk Vv - Current Employment Details

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm currently in the UK filling in my girlfriends application form, but have a problem:

My gf is currently learning the art of artificial flower making. She agreed with a shop owner that she would learn the trade for free is she paid for her own materials. As such she's not employed, more of a work experience. Would I still be able to fill out the shop owners details in the employeers section or is there anywhere else i can explain the situation on the form?

Also as i won't be present when she makes her application would it be best if she copies the form I send her in her own handwriting and do I need to send any original papers for evidence or are copies fine?

Many Thanks for all your help

I would fill it in, and then put an explanatory note with it. Will her 'employer' write a letter confirming that she can take the time off and that her position will be kept open for her return?

You can fill the form in for her, and then send it to her to sign and submit to the application centre. Include in your covering letter a brief note that you have done so, and why. E.g. the form has to be completed in English and her written English isn't good enough. She may be asked if she filled the form in herself, in which case she simply tells the truth. It wont be a problem.

Original, or certified copies, are required. Remember when copying your passport to include the blank pages. Remember too that all documents in Thai should be accompanied by a certified English translation.
