Get a lawyer.. Next time make sure you live with the person for an extended period before committing to anything. Then you know what your dealing with. But I guess living here and teaching English wasn't an option.

If you really want to follow this through put your story in ask a Lawyer, they will probably ask you to contact them to get the full story. You sound like you have a few dollars so pay the experts (lawyer) for the best advice, not the ThaiVisa guys

This is a typical scam operated in Thailand. I know quite a number of foreigners who married Thai ladies and after buying the mobile phone, car, apartment in Bangkok, house & land up country and starting a business(all in her name) lost everything. After putting everything in their wives names, they owned nothing and then the wives kicked them out. Some were murdered, others died under suspicious circumstances, some committed suicide. You say that everything was in her father's name but I would not be surprised if she has a Thai Husband in common law. If you met her on the internet she likely had, and still has, a number of suckers on the go providing her with money. Whilst Nigerian scammers have been prosceuted for scamming Thai women out of money on marriage and dating site, I haven't heard of the Thai legal system doing anything to help foreigners who have been scammed in the way you have.

I know of a number of Thai wives who paid for hits on their husbands when their usefullness ran out. One I know lost her third husband and was trying to get his German pension. Another was also on her third husband and the last time I saw her she was back working in the massage parlour after gambling away all the money that her and her Tom "wife" had made from selling the houses.

If you can afford a lawyer go ahead and sue her for half the property but be sure that you take a few body guards along with you if you have to go anywhere near her. I am not sure what the going rate these days is for a hit, but it used to be around B30,000 for a foreigner.

Like everyone said, if you want to live, just walk away and go home. if you want to fight the case and take custody of your child. perhaps you should secretly film the threats you receive from her, that will be good evidence in court.

"Only spend what you are prepared to lose". I have to say that's the best advice I've ever seen in relation to Thailand. Another piece of advice given by a now-deceased American living here was " If it flies, floats or f..ks, it's always cheaper to rent".

America is a "melting pot" of many nationalities. Many, many Americans aren't native English speakers. I ran into a young gal working in a large grocery store and asked her a question about where to find something. As soon as she began to answer I knew she was Thai. We had a very good short conversation about Thailand.

You shouldn't slag off someone whose first language is not English. There are many people out there that are completly illiterate and are multi-millionaires:

That makes my friend's jet a business and gives him a ton of tax write-offs. When he wants to use it he simply pays for fuel and for the pilots. That keeps him from needing his own staff.

I think you " rushed into things far to quickly " There is nothing wrong in meeting lady online but i do believe in taking things slowly.Get to know each other,become friends first for maybe months,years even before jumping straight in (like many farang)

prove it) so next she said she was with me for more than two years which made her my wife!!!!!!and entitled to 50% but after

several court appearances she then changed her case to.... I had gifted all I owned to her.... I have been in court now 4 times but will not give in I have all the proof I need to back me and a good Lawyer who I have faith in

The only down side is that it takes so long my case has been adjourned 4 times and is set for early next year by the way I live near Phuket and if you live near here I can recommend my Lawyer....I say never give in.

i have posted this before but what the heck,my friend has been to los over 30 times, yep, got married,to a girl from Chang Rai, bought a farm, about 3 years ago, her 2 brothers basically said dont come back to the farm, you will be buried in it, my advice is just walk away and learn a lesson, and if you do go to court, take it from me they will follow you, end of story, end of you.
