madmonk888
My ED visa is finishing shortly and I will be changing to a retirement visa. I have been told I have to leave the country and come back in , on a 30 day stamp ( UK passport holder). Probably to be done at Aranyaphratet or flying back to Don Muang . Question is , with all the changes that have gone on and all the refusals and all the comments about IOs do they now ask for proof of onward travel back out of Thailand at the border. thanks
stevenl
No, at the border they don't ask for that. The airline you're arriving with might ask though. Also, if any doubt about your visa status the I/O could ask as well, but that is far from standard.
