Police charges for those accusing the police of using scapegoats

Featured Replies

Complete nonsense how can they track you down? Bully tactics. Freedom of speech, now you can't critize the police. Pm Prayuth what has happened to Thailand?

Well, obviously they will not try to run after every single person sharing links on Facebook or similar, that would be ridiculous, impossible and a huge lose of face for the BiB. But the people behind CSI LA might be swimming in hot water..

RTP are seriously worried about the postings on CSI LA. latest posting there, 34 mins ago, shows that the alleged murderers where DNA tested in the initial round. So why s long to get THEIR results....? After that round of testing, they police still hadn't had a match. Either way, CSI LA is based outside of Thailand.

Criticising court rulings is illegal in thailand as it is construed as contempt of court but there is no law against criticising the work of the police or other civil servants. Saying that no one can disagree with the police is dictatorship in the raw. Thailand on the way to becoming a police state.

Explain that then

Explain what ? I must have missed something

Freedom of speech? In Thailand? 5555

Come to England and get me lol idiots - corrupt as hell and now making threats to keep people from bringing heat on them

They are just trying to cover their <deleted>.

They know they are in the wrong, they know what they have done and now they are threatening people speaking against them.

But the voice coming from the Thais and the foreigners is too loud and they will not be able to supress it.

The truth will come out one day, either they like it or not.

Well, after all, we do live in a Dictatorship... wai2.gifwai.gif

They can't...but still they can charge you for something they can't or avoid to explain.

He seems to be just analysing publicly available information from a distance. His leads may not all be correct but he is certainly raising some interesting points and one would think the police would thank him for his efforts. By eliminating all the angles suggested by CSI LA, police could satisfy the public they have proved their case beyond doubt and will have a stronger case in court in the event the two suspects retract their confessions and plead not guilty.

Ah, thanks. I have been reading the CSI LA reports, but I had no idea they where based outside of LOS. But that's great news, hopefully means they won't shut up yet :)

There's a post that has stuck in my mind from quite a while back. Here it is:

"Gulfsailor

2014-09-29

I'll have to be careful what I write. Most people on Koh Tao know who are responsible. They also know who took the main perpetrator of the island by private speedboat around sunrise. Media and UK reps were not allowed to witness DNA taking of certain suspects. But everyone on the island is too scared to talk. And who are you gonna talk to when the guy leading the investigation is a friend and partner of a certain local family in a mainland business venture? I think there will be quite some foreigners who are planning their departure from the island. And hopefully when one of these people is back safe in their home country the full story will come out."

So Gulfsailor, you talk like you know people on the island. I'd have thought somebody would have left for their own country and posted their accusations by now, at least anonymously.

Lots of rumours around but nobody's produced any evidence.

thai police needs to stop threatening people as if we're back in the middle ages. the Internet can no longer be contained. it is all so backwards. hacking people to death on the beach. and then the entire government trying to cover it up. disgusting.

Not necessarily. They can't see past a router which is the best firewall that the average person can have. It is a computer, and the only computer on that network that can use or be seen by the internet.

If you live in an apartment building that has shared WiFi, your IP address is assigned by the router's internal DHCP server and your IP isn't internet routable. It can go only as far as the router which is called the "default gateway" (to the internet) and the router has the only internet routable IP address in the building. It forwards all internet traffic using its external IP address which is assigned by the ISP.

So if the BiB went to the ISP and had them look at their logs, they could probably tell who had the IP address at the time of the post. But that would take them only to a building. After that they'd have to analyze each internal computer to try to figure out which one made the post.

They'll probably select a couple of Burmese to pin the all the posting on.

I hope that you are right. But we've seen bigger stuff swept under the rug before. Hopefully social media and the international outcry will make the difference in this case.

It probably is their way to comply with the chief's requests. I bet a lot will now not say anymore they don't have faith in the BIB

Police chief urges officers to make people have faith in police again

In other words, the beatings will continue until morale improves...

He is suggesting that those Burmese boys were in the first wave of testing of the AC bar staff, yet there were no claims of a positive finding. No apparently they have been tested after being 'caught fleeing' and are now a positive match.

i know we all take that csi la guy as a joke sometimes. but he's pretty smart. the entire island knows who did it. but are terrified. but on the Internet people will find and find ways to give you the truth. albeit anonymously. all the proof to nail that thing will be on csi la. people will give it to him. people will tell their stories there. the thai police cannot contain that. im not thai and haven't even been to thailand. i actually have a job. very busy. but i read here. I've seen the pictures of hannah and david. in my country and anywhere else people will seek justice for something like that. it is sad and terrifying but the government will find who's responsible. only in Thailand will they try to hide the truth. considering the barbarity of the act. god it's like the dark ages
