I use FF as my default browser, but when going to maps.google.com and typing in an address, all that shows up is a black screen with a small thumbnail street view image on the lower left, along with google maps icons for navigating. However, when using IE, everything shows up fine. Does Google now really not favour FF as they used to before Chrome, or is my latest edition of FF buggy?

(1) Make sure you are on the latest version (Go to Help, About).

(2) Go to Help, and click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled".

Please report if either of these fixed the problem.

Latest version after being nagged by FF for a couple of weeks, just running hola ( not for maps.google.com) and adblocker plus as addons. I did restart in safe mode and maps.google.com did come up, so it appears adblocker plus might be the cause.

OK if you mean Adblock Plus, right click on the ABP icon, select Options and Whitelist the google.com domain.

I'm not sure of the exact syntax, so add *.google.com and just plain google.com
