Hi,

I had a double entry tourist visa that was to be used before Sept18th.

Used the first 60 days, got a 30 days extension that was running until Sept,17th.

As I needed to travel and activate the second entry before my visa expiration date, I exited on Aug,25th and returned on Sept,3rd where I got my second 60 days stamp to November,1st. As I needed to travel again and didn't want to loose the benefit of the remaining days on that second entry (plus I thought, the possibility of extending by one month) I got issued upon my departure on Sept,16th a re entry permit from the dedicated counter at Suvar airport. I returned on Oct,1st and thought I read that I was admitted until Nov,1st...

So, initially, my question here was going to be :

Can I get a 30 days extension based on this re-entry permit, and if so, when should I go to immigration to have it processed ?

But, BUT, upon writing this post, I found something I had overlooked : the officer upon my return on Oct,1st stamped my admitted until date as 1 NOV 2015 !!! With something in the visa class section that seems to be like Non B

Its obviously a mistake as he disregarded the source of my re-entry permit as being a tourist visa and wrongly assumed something else. What should I do ???

Thank you in advance for your relevant and detailed advices

Everything is correct. When you made your second entry with your tourist visa, you got permission to stay for 60 days, until 01 NOV 2014 . Then you obtained a re-entry permit, which served to keep your permission to stay alive when you left Thailand, and this is the reason why on arrival with the re-entry permit you again got permission to stay until 1 NOV 2014. You can get a 30- day extension of your permisson to stay, not of your re-entry permit. Apply anytime during the last 30 days of your current permission to stay, ie already now, if you wish.

Sorry Maestro, I don't think that everything is correct! The OP stated: "the officer upon my return on Oct,1st stamped my admitted until date as 1 NOV 2015 !!!". That should have been 2014. He needs to get the stamp corrected or at least realize that it was a mistake and do his 30 days on/before 1 Nov 2014 and point out the error to immigration at that time.

Something similar once happened to me a few years ago. When you go to get your 30-day extension, they will have to correct it first. Your visit to immigrationr will be a few minutes longer; no big deal.

You can go to immigration at any time now and they will fix the stamp error and do the 30 day extension. Just do it before Saturday the 1st of November.
