Uk Visa application

Featured Replies

I think you can do a bank book or statements, I normally leave nothing to chance and submit both, the bank will supply a standard letter.

I would include a short note outlining your plans for the trip and covering your life together here, I would also be inclined to refer to her previous application showing that you have addressed the issues of concern.

Don't forget a copy of the relevant pages of your passport.

Good luck.

Ok so my fiance just received an accpetance for her visa application. Luck! as we fly out in less than a week. Apparently upon arrival in the UK she will need to have a customs interview. Can anyone tell me if there is a standard letter I need to write for them and are there any other documents required?

Also I just want to confirm that as my visa expires just before I leave when I re enter Thailand will I automatically get a 30 day stay?

Finally can anyone recommend a reasonable travel insurance policy to purchase for the both of us?

Thanks

She wont have a Customs Interview, but she will see a Border Force Officer who will want to satisfy themselves that that visit remains genuine and affordable before formally admitting her. She will be asked the purpose of the visit, how long she is staying and evidence to prove this, she might also be asked to produced her flights out of the UK, she should have all that to hand.

Loads of insurance companies, we often uses Columbus, based in the UK and have good cover.

If you're a UK National you should get 30 days on your return to Thailand providing you have a flight out of Thailand within that timescale.
