how many times does the prosecution have to throw it back at the idiots to fix?

until it's fixed or dropped.

At the end of the day the only thing that is really and only required to clear up this case is DNA sample matching of the semen found in Hannahs body. Who ever amtches to it then the case is over. However if some people can refuse to be DNA tested then the case will never really be closed I guess. Will the Brit Police and Myanmar officials have any influence in demanding that those refusing tests will and should be tested?? I very much doubt it, sadly.

Will our new great leader also have the balls to take the bull by the horns and as he says, rid this country and this case and others of the future and past corruption????. Will he demand that nobody has the right to refuse tests too?????. Doubt it.

Will the PM shout and demand that they allow the British Police and myanmar officials the right to demand that all suspects in this case be rightly DNA tested or are the Myanmarians and British Police just supposed to sit on a fence and watch a comedy show of errors and listen to excuses of lost evidence etc etc.

Why are the prosectuors now saying that this case is again full of flaws and holes ? Because they also know that the world is also watching them too.

If Thailand really wants to preserve its image for tourists and foreign investment, it has to be seen to be doing things correctly from now on and continue to so in the future, rather than let a few self important, hi so, rich folk dictate to the regime of the day, in order to admonish themselves of guilt.

As we all know, It is not only happening to Tourists but Thai to Thai also, what is going to happen to Prince Red Bull et al????????

Now is the chance to save real face and show one and all in Thailand and around the World , that nobody in Thailand is above the law, regardless of postions in society, political affiliations or how much dodgy money they have in the bank .

Can you explain to me how the DNA solves these crimes?

"Who ever amtches to it then the case is over [sic]"

If you rape someone you have not murdered them, if you had consensual sex that doesn't mean you raped them or murdered them.

All that DNA can do is place someone at a location and possibly indicate some 'actions' that occurred sex for example).

The police have to built a case around these murders, DNA is a part of the case but it isn't the be all or end all...

Mirrors comments I made quite some time back on one of the threads - but seems many can't see any benefit in considering the facts of life. Just charge on with, he did - they did - political protocol, DNA tests etc etc .

My apologies if anyone finds this offensive....I am sick to death regarding this saving face BS...how about justice for the two young people who's parents can no longer gaze upon theirs!!

Don't find it offensive at all...

Unfortunately, those in positions of power see David, Hannah and their families as 'just Farang'...

And as far as the powers at be are concerned, a farang doesn't have a face and if it did, it would never be worth saving over that of a Thai...

Words fail me as to how disgusting that story is if true. What's worse is the people and organisations covering for these pigs. The university in BKK, shame on you. The management of Nomsods dorm shame on you. The airline covering up his flight out, shame on you. The Photoshop guy shame on you. The family member giving an alibi when you were in Pattaya shame shame shame. The Koh To a police force, simply everybody, you should all spend time in the monkey house. Your reputations are ruined forever. The uni and airlines are the most dissapointing

These and all other previous murders of foreigners will haunt thailand for decades to come.

Who's willing to bet that this move by the prosecution to throw it back to the police is actually the first step in a newly thought out plan (since the British police are now being "involved") that will end in the case and charges being dropped due to lack of sufficient evidence?

Investigations will subsequently be reopened (and the Brits will then no longer be involved as they have already achieved their two stated objectives - DNA and mistreatment of the suspects) and will continue ad infinitum until the whole thing is forgotten a few years down the road. This will be yet another unsolved murder in the Land of Smiles.

Or are prosecutors jumping a sinking ship? Unlike the top brass, they do not have immunity, under the New Interim Constitution, from possible future `action`.

Could this case force the very top brass to move themselves to inactive posts or resign/retire?

Are all the KT inhabitants been tested for DNA?

If not get it illegaly if necessary, and publish the results on the social media. See what happens.

In the west we have court orders.

with regards to the above i always thought it was odd how Hannah was laid dead how she was ( legs apart an knees up ) looking like she was raped when she was dead .

Also how the condom had no dna on the inside, bastards shoved it up hannah then planted it

Face was bashed with the hoe after hannahs body was planted

Makes more sense that her body was put like that after she had been raped and killed?

THESE <deleted> ANIMALS NEED TO BE GIVEN THE DEATH PENALTY !

Littlebw, I came onto Thai Visa to write exactly what you had written after reading the post 5 minutes ago on CSI LA - you beat me to it!

Hannah's legs appeared to be positioned in a sexual pose (missionary, to be blunt). This is why, in the early days of the case, some of us believed that she had been killed first and then sexually assaulted. We had quite a conversation going between TV members as to how 2 people could possibly have the urge to have sex with a brutally disfigured dead person.

If she was sexually assaulted first and then killed, surely her body would have been in a more defensive position. If you were alive and somebody was attacking you with a hoe, would you still lay there in the position that Hannah was found in? I think the foetal position is more likely - roll into a ball and cover your head or try and defend yourself. Anyone disagree?

I have at least one doubt regarding this conspiracy theory though- I thought Hannah's friends said their was no argument or altercation between her and the locals in the bar that night. That conflicts majorly with this theory - in fact it pretty much removes the whole motive behind the murder.

Anyway, just my thoughts for now. Interested to hear sensible ideas from other members.

At the same time, the state prosecutor of the Eight Prosecution Region, Mr Thawatchai Siengjiew, disclosed that the working group of prosecutors have ordered the police to probe into more issues and to question more witnesses and find more circumstantial evidence before the state prosecutor could prosecute them in the court

<deleted>! What about actual conclusive evidence..ah well TIT circumstantial will do for the time being!

No need further question.

Confession already obtain. What else does the Farang parent want?

Confession now believed to be under duress.

As a parent I would want the truth and not accept a forced confession.

If you were a parent what would you want???

The farang parents along with hundreds of thousands of other people want a simple thing called justice, you've obviously never heard of it

Confessions were retracted and have now been proven to have been obtained via torture by a THAI government agency and their medical forensic team.

Pretty sure they want more than just the circumstantial evidence that the Thai prosecutors seem to be happy to ask for more of. Pretty sure they want a lot of the thing called justice, you may heard of it..or not!

The truth

Stone cold facts

Hard evidence

Justice

Four things that you are more likely to find when corrupt Thai officials aren't protecting little Hi-So assrags

With all this new information coming to light now that Hannah was raped in her room and probably where David was murdered I wonder who of the false alibis will break first. If Nomsod did catch a flight out the airline covering that probably has the most to lose. As for the university whose job it is to educate the young minds of tomorrow, well, just what can you say about them. The professors telling lies to cover for a murderer. Basically teaching corruption and how its done and who its done for.... Disgraceful.... Its not a matter of if you lecturers but when the truth comes out. You should be jailed for your involvement. How can you look yourselves in the mirror. You should certainly never be allowed to teach again. You have shamed the whole institution to cover for one of the most disgusting human beings on the planet. I hope you were all well payed it may be your last pay cheque. Inhumane animals.

I think you are underestimating the level of patronage in this country.

This started out local but then became much more than that as the media questioning started.

IF this is a cover up, these locals could not have done it alone.

They are small time in the system and they too have to pay upwards. Bit like pyramid selling.

Their line managers will not want to lose their income.

IMHO if there are a lot of very substantial Christmas bonuses now tied to this case.

I hope they do not collect them.

I think you're jumping the gun just a little. This "information" that's come to light is still just rumour unless there's some proof to back it up.

To rant on about the university like this seems inappropriate.

I thought that "The General" was doing quite a good job before this crime was committed and highly publicised, mind you I was comparing him with the majority of Thai politicians.

Firstly we had the comments about girls in bikinis "asking for it" and then his premature ridiculous praise for the BiB that had "solved" the case.

He could boost his credibility with the world at large if he announced that he was setting up a National Murder Squad led by Dr. Porntip Rojanasunan to oversee and direct major enquiries and train the BiB and Scene of Crime Officers in the protocols that must be observed at crime scenes and handling of potential evidence. Keeping all and sundry off the crime scene would be a good start!

She has already aired criticism about this enquiry and on her record I believe she is the only Thai that can significantly raise the level of crime detection in this country. She has shown in the past that she does not kowtow to anyone however important or powerful that they think they are.

This is good news, especially in the light of the latest allegation that the murder/rape took place in the apartment.

Then the B2 were supposedly forced into helping carry the bodies.

I felt when I read it it might be a false lead to explain any DNA that is supposedly from the scene and matches the suspects.

The trolls are sure out in force!

The case is perfect.

Fix the report.

The world is watching. The new justice in Thailand if nobody watching Burmese scapegoats OK. The world watching no scapegoats

Talk to the suspects again.

So is it perfect or not, maybe just a little bit perfect.

I would like to laugh but I cant, it's about two lives lost and maybe two more!
