For Proof of Residence..do I need copy of Thai landlord's ID?

Featured Replies

I am getting conflicting reports on this.

I have a long lease with Thai landlord.....To get my proof of residence for my driver's licence do I need to take the lease as well as copies of his Thai ID?

If so I will have to arrange to get copies from him...

Thanks for any help...greatly appreciated...

some days you do and some days you don't

welcome to Thailand

Ta....but does anybody have any info that's a bit more helpful...

I have never been asked for the Thai ID of the owner. A copy of the lease has been sufficient or a letter (taken years ago when the residence was short-term) has been sufficient. On the last occasion (at the new office near Promenada) two months ago, a copy of th lease was sufficient.

If you are still nervous, and it is easy for you to obtain, then bring a photocopy of the ID (initialed by the owner).

I did it 3 times in the last 2 months at the new Promenada Immigration... Just the lease was fine smile.png

Oh and 500 baht for next day service...

Never been asked for that, and I've had to get several.

500 baht, and now across from Promenada.
