Face-to-face meeting with the tourist police

I have an issue I would like to discuss with the Chiang Mai tourist police them and I don't want to do it on the phone. I also cannot do it at a "street" stand since it is a long story. Is there a place where I can go talk to them in an office-type setting?

At the foot of Doi Suthep, roughly across from the zoo entrance, is what must be their CM headquarters. A largish building, well marked. If I were you I would go there (not today, 23 Oct, a holiday).

That, or a similar car, was yesterday at a big Temple close to where I live. It seems a VIP is in town. It may be Royal Family, but I'm not sure.

Cynicism aside, I've addressed them (in another office, now closed) twice and found their assistance (as has been my experience with Immigration) excellent - English language too. Of course, one is calm and polite. I doubt that anyone with "an attitude" such as anger or indignation is likely to prosper.
