Yes, they have committed a crime for the Japanese's death but just could not understand why they have to cut up his body. There are so much land in Thailand for them to bury him discretely instead. This act is unpardonable.

Speaking personally, killing someone is as unpardonable.

Those gosh darn Burmese again? No not this time. Because a Thai taxi driver and his greedy awful Thai wife don't have the Mafia connection that some others do.

Where is the RTP chief saying..."No Thai would do a crime like this"!

Unusual for japan man to be involved in bf gf non-sense. Or is it?

They do..and i know japanese people help them alot and get nothing back. They fall into hands of these creeping people and money drives them crazy if not have and can not access

I'm always suprised at how ... surprised white people can be when they realize that both 'sex tourism' and 'love tourism' are not a white prerogative in this country.

Apparently a lot of white people also think that only the big bad white guys are preying on the lovely young Thai girls and boys and that Patpong + Soi Nana are the center of the red light activity in Bangkok (if not the world). How wrong, and how revealing of the white man's arrogant attitude.

Older Asians coming to Thailand looking for sex and/or love with Thais are extremely numerous, but their Asian features mean they don't stand out for the farang eye, thus they become 'invisible'.

Also they tend to go to different venues which cater specifically for them, like Thaniya Plaza in Bangkok for example which focuses on Japanese customers. A whole street just for the Japanese... doesn't that tell us something ? Patpong 1 and 2 + Soi Nana for the whole white lot but a whole street just for the Japanese.

However, what most visitors (white or Asian) do not realize is that the greatest 'sex market' in LOS is designed for Thai men. In several districts of Bangkok there are long sois of gogo bars, one after the other, both straight and gay, which never see a foreigner. If you try to go there, they will make it very clear to you that you're out of place.

And that's only Bangkok. But in the rest of the country, in every single town, big or small, there is a ring of so-called 'karaoke' bars usually located on the outskirts of the city and signalled by multicolored electric garlands, which are of course brothels and nothing else. If those places see 10 white guys in one year, it's a high figure.

So... believe it or not, dear farangs, but white people did not make Thailand what it is.

i dont believe it.

you had me until your claim nana plaza is for whites......................what a bunch of thai buffalo feces.....lol.

Body parts found as police investigate 'black widow'

SAMUT PRAKAN: Police are looking into the possibility of reopening the case of a Japanese businessman who was found dead at the bottom of a staircase after his then wife, Pornchanok Chaiyapa, allegedly confessed to chopping up and dumping the body of missing Japanese man Yoshinori Shimato into a canal.

Pornchanok Chaiyapa, 47, and her taxi driver boyfriend Somchai Kaewbangyang are accused of killing the 79-year-old Japanese teacher, cutting up his body and dumping his remains into Klong Nang Thim canal in Bang Bo district in Samut Prakan, on the south-east edge of Bangkok.

Police divers yesterday (October 22) found bags containing human remains after Mr Somchai allegedly confessed to the crime on Tuesday.

Based on a biometric examination, police believe the body is Shimato’s but they are waiting for confirmation from DNA results.

The pair deny murdering the Japanese man, saying he died from shock, officers said.

Shimato’s body was then chopped up and put in four sacks before being dumped into Khlong Nang Thim in Bang Bo district, said Pol Maj Gen Srivara Rangsipramanakul, acting commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau.

He said the suspects confessed to cutting up the body in the second floor toilet of Ms Pornchanok’s house in the Orchid Villa housing estate.

They wanted to take valuables belonging to Shimato, Gen Srivara said, adding that they hacked him up to make it easier to dispose of the body.

The first two sacks of human remains were found in the canal on Tuesday night and another two were retrieved Wednesday.

Police are preparing to charge the couple with premeditated murder and hiding a body, the officer said.

Following the charges, according to police sources, officers will look into the details of the case of Kasitosi Tanaka, the former Japanese husband of Ms Pornchanok, to determine whether it can be reopened.

Tanaka was found dead in what police at the time recorded as an accident.

He was reportedly suffering from coronary artery disease when he collapsed and fell down the stairs.

Ms Pornchanok married Tanaka in 2002. The couple have a daughter, who is now 17 years old.

Following Mr Tanaka’s death, Ms Pornchanok claimed B3 million in life insurance.

Mr Tanaka’s relatives were reportedly unconvinced by the police conclusion on his death. Before marrying Mr Tanaka, she lived with Mr Somchai and with him, who is now 27.

Ms Pornchanok met Mr Shimato in April this year. He reportedly went missing on Sept 21.

His son, Tetsuo Shimato, flew in from Japan and filed a complaint with Huai Khwang police on October 14.

Police found several suspicious withdrawals from the missing man’s bank account over the past two weeks, with a total of more than B700,000, taken out in 14 transactions.

Police went to Shimato’s apartment at Sriwara Mansion 2 in Din Daeng district on Friday, where they found Ms Pornchanok packing bags. Police earlier charged the woman with stealing money from the missing man.

She was later released on B100,000-baht bail by the Criminal Court, and then fled.

She and Mr Somchai were arrested in Ang Thong on Sunday on suspicion of being linked to Shimato’s disappearance.

Institute of Forensic Medicine commander Pol Maj Gen Pornchai Suteerakune said the institute received the body parts yesterday morning.

Officers are in the process of verifying the identity and extracting DNA to compare it with Shimato’s son, he said.

He admitted the process of extracting DNA was difficult because the body parts had started to decompose. An institution source said the results should be released within two days.

Meanwhile, forensic police examined Ms Pornchanok’s pickup truck and her house in the Orchid Villa housing estate in Samut Prakan’s Bang Sao Thong district.

A search of her vehicle found a large knife which Mr Somchai allegedly told police he used to cut up the body.

Bloodstains were also found on the knife and police took it for examination to determine whether the bloodstains were from Shimato.

Police also found bloodstains in a sink and bathtub in the bathroom on the house’s second floor.

Sacks found at the house were the same type as the ones dumped in the canal.

Also on Wednesday, the son of the Japanese teacher met Pol Lt Gen Ruangsak Jaritake, acting deputy police chief, and other officers to discuss the progress of the investigation into his father’s disappearance at the Royal Thai Police Office.

The son said he was saddened by the incident and he was still in a state of shock.

Despite what the pair allegedly did to his father, Mr Shimato said he does not harbour any ill-feelings towards the Thai people and the country, adding that his father had said that Thailand is a beautiful country where the people are friendly and that he wanted to see out the final days of his life here.

Roblok, any girl who ask for monthly Paymrnts isn't the kind of girl you'd want to marry. However in Thai society there is still the dowry to be paid, a one off payment. I introduced my Thai friend to Aust friend of mine & are happily married with no monthly payments going to anyone

Why any older guy with money can have a considerably younger gf telling him he is a hand-sum man.. meanwhile sharpening her knives before going in for the kill as that way she will have faster access to the cash and does not have to keep telling the guy he is hansum and faking it all the time.

Does not matter if your white / asian / black we can all fall for it. Relationships where people give monthly allowances to the other party and stuff are risky because you attract someone with money and they just might figure out a way to get it without needing you.

Far safer to rent a girl for the night if you want a younger play thing.

Spot on the money robbo.

Why on earth would an older man want to be with a woman half his age?

Madness?

Anyway here's another victim, he 88, she 23. And may they enjoy connubial bliss until the end.

Perhaps she's after his money?

"Shimato's son arrived yesterday at the Royal Thai Police headquarters to express his thanks for the speedy arrests in the case, and sought cooperation from Thai media not to pursue their coverage after he returned to Japan with his father's body."

He wants the Thai media "not to pursue the case"?

Surely that's a typo.

No typo, just a glaringly obvious, deliberate misinterpretation of what the son said by you again. Media coverage is not the same as "the case"

And again more nonsense from you, your speciality.

It is not obvious at all that is what he meant.

What on earth do you assume he meant by coverage then?

Come on, enlighten us with your "wisdom".

Sorry, but he very obviously meant that he wants no more news stories by the media. In other words, no more media coverage so as to have respect for his dead father and his family's privacy. No more media coverage simply means no more stories about it in the newspapers, etc.

Not sure that's what I'd want.

If some piece of scum kills me I want the press on the case until they are locked up for the rest of their natural.

Like it or not the press plays a role in society and part of that is ensuring that societies institutions are fulfilling their role.

They have a duty to do this within certain boundaries, for example it is wrong to use pictures of the victims from the crime scene simply to sell copy.

However to tell them not to cover the story anymore is censorship by other means. They have a role in society and should not be told to carry it out by anyone. Whether that be the authorities or the public.

There have to be boundaries on how this is done, but they cannot be told not to do it.

Yes this murderer's story is as believable as the easter bunny. Hope they get the death penalty.

Yes, especially the part about him fainting, notice a hammer was nearby. there was no comment about this being the second Japanese husband to die while married to her. she got 6 million baht insurance because the old Japanese man fell down the stairs???? so much for the BIB in the first investigation.

Surprised they did not call the first death a suicide. facepalm.gif

Give it a break guys!!

The son simply asked Thai media to leave him and his family alone in Japan. In other words, he don't want 10 Thai news-crews at the funeral. Is that so difficult to understand??

Nothing to do with restricting the freedom of the press, but simply asking for a little respect!!

These cases are so common, this is why the police find the killers quickly. 5 minutes after buying the house the wife (or boyfriend 's) family suddenly come to stay and not go home again. Then you bad person and the family say go away. Big party follows.

When that not work you end up like Japan man.

I always prefer to rent, had Honda last visit, pay collision waver and give back, no one hurt and everyone make a little profit.

UPDATE:

Reenactment prepared for Japanese man's murder case

By Digital Content

BANGKOK, Oct 23 -- Thai police are about to have the couple charged with killing a 79-year-old Japanese man conduct a reenactment to back their confession.

Soldiers of the 2nd Cavalry Division handed Pornchanok Chaiyapa and her husband Somchai Kaewbangyang to Pol Lt Gen Rueangsak Jarit-ek, acting deputy national police chief, at the Metropolitan Police Bureau today.

The suspects were detained under martial law following their arrest Sunday in Ang Thong province.

The two were brought before the eyes of the media for the first time.

They confessed to killing Japanese-language teacher Yoshinori Shimato, dismembering his body, putting his body parts in bags and sinking them in a canal in Bang Bo district of Samut Prakan province.

At the request of the police, rescue workers retrieved all the bags from the canal.

Mr Shimato had gone missing since Sept 21 and both suspects reportedly admitted to the killing on that day.

Pol Lt Gen Rueangsak questioned both suspects himself and had doctors examine their bodies to prevent any possible subsequent allegation that they were beaten and forced to confess.

The reenactment will take place at the Ms Pornchanok's house and at the canal where they disposed of the victim's body parts. (MCOT online news)

"The pair deny murdering the Japanese man, saying he died from shock, officers said."

And what caused the shock?

A punch to the face or other violence?

No the shock was caused from seeing the large knife descending on him like the "Sword of Damacles"

Sorry for the principle in this article. He made a very serious mistake in assessing the lady involved.

This truly is a sad situation, and my condolences go out to his Son.

Is it just me or does this investigation seem to be more organized than the KT tragedy? From what I've read here, it all sounds like a proper investigation into the disappearance and ultimate findings that he was murdered to how they will collect DNA and match it up with his Son and even the days it will take for the results to come back. On the KT murders...the Police were all over the place with constant contradictions and DNA results in world record time frames.

If anybody is being truthful about something, it always comes out smoothly, but if you get a liar, and as the story grows, the more inconsistent it all gets. What does that tell you? The truth is here and you can see it through the investigation from beginning up until this point compared to KT where they are all over the place and nothing makes sense and the further they get in the KT case, the more ridiculous it all sounds.

Just my observation.
