Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GT Vs GLS

Featured Replies

Can anyone out there please tell me the difference between the 2WD GT and GLS?

There is nearly a 200,000 baht price difference, but all I can find in the specs is "all round disc brakes vs. discs + drum", and 17" vs 18" wheels.

There MUST be more for that price difference????

Cheers,

Roofrails, spoiler and lighting is different as well. All in all I would say cosmetics that do not justify 200k difference.

There's more than just that...

* Leather seats

* Climate control AC

* Rear seat AC

* Cruise Control

* Steering wheel audio controls

* Electric front seats

* DVD with touchscreen and rear mounted roof screen

* GPS

* Bluetooth

* HID Xenon headlights

* Automatic headlights / wipers

plus a few other little things like sunglasses holder, mirrors in the sun visors etc.

The extra 200K gets you a fair bit of kit.

The GT has rear discs? I've never seen that on any pajero.

That's quite a list. Where did you find that info?

I see Mitsubishi Thailand have a 0% finance deal on until the end of October.

Does that mean there's a new model on the way?

New Triton due anytime now. Pjs will follow about a year after I believe. IMHO is your man on this subject.

Some from my head, some from the company database (no, not Mitsu - ours) wink.png

As changnaam says, there's a new Triton coming very soon - but won't spawn a new Pajero Sport until the end of next year.

Expect the promotions on the PJS to continue well beyond the end of this month, and be sure to shop around. The word on the street is that they're giving 120K discounts on the outgoing Triton, my guess is there's some play (maybe not as much) in the PJS too - even in light of finance promos.

I see the GT has a rear parking sensor.

You should have no problem negotiating a free rear parking camera into the deal if going for the GT.

Another minor thing i noticed...

In the spec for the GT, "USB" is missing from the "AM/FM/DVD/MP3" list. Just wondering how do I plug in the iPhone?

OK, so with that in the Cigar lighter socket, where do I get power for the in-car video capture camera? ;)

No USB port on a 1.2M baht car?

I want to CHARGE my phone and PLAY my iPhone playlist through the car stereo while navigating with the TomTom app. like I do in my base model Honda City thumbsup.gif

The Pajero Sport has 3 lighter sockets (center dash, in the center console, and another in the back).. if that's not enough, you can get some of those 'lighter socket power board" gizmos wink.png

Using USB sticks to play MP3's is pretty old school. Reminds me of cassettes :P

I paid 1.1800.00 2.5 years ago

It's a nice car for the money.

Mine came with a monitor and an alpine stereo .

Which sounds good .

New ones get a all in one piece .sound not as good.

I've drove a V6 one. Bloody nice.

But the consumption is appaling.

At that time there was the big floods and no for tuners for 3 to 4 months.

Good car for the money

Ooooh, a cassette player. Now that's an idea biggrin.png

Or maybe an Eight-track tongue.png

Still never seen one with rear discs, looked at a new one in the showroom while mine was being serviced, no discs on that, 2.5 GT, mind you it is about time they did have discs on the back. It is 2015 not 1950!

This must be a minor model change...or is it? My BIL has the top model from a couple of years ago....no rear discs on that either.

Disc brakes are far better than drum brakes, simple.and the abs might work then!

The ABS works just fine with drums, and the handbrake can actually hold the weight of the loaded car with rear drums too. There's a reason pickups and these SUV's based on them have drums at the rear.

Can You explain why it needs Disks.?. Apart from Cosmetics.coffee1.gif

Well my abs is total crap, the reason they use them is cheap cheap cheap and nothing else, how can abs work with drum brakes? and they handbrake if designed correctly is far better with discs, my ford galaxy in the uk had superb all round discs and the abs was fantastic, the pajero abs is rubbish the rears lock and do not listen to the abs at all.

Sounds like you drove a dud mate.

My PJS ABS work fine with no lock up of rear drums.

Maybe the particular PJS you mention has a brake problem.
