"a mere poodle,in the kingdoms immgr dept. chain of command

expect plenty of promises

and from previous dept track gallops

zilch

business as usual"

from other reports etc etc

its become very clear,

that due to staff shortages etc etc ,the very poor services will continue at the immgr dept

the squalid conditions that are now being experienced in the immgr depts holding pen, will also continue until the year ?????

from my visits to the immgr dept, the above two points prompted me to enagage and pay for a visa agent...(and very happy to do so)

so for all the D.I.Y. at the immgr dept....,it will be business as usual, with no improvement in sight

a very nice morning to allsmile.png

7 Eleven?

No doubts the owner of 7 Eleven chain, the richest man in Thailand, knows how to make money..even with farangs.

I doubt if will not be a "small fee" to do the 90 days reports in its stores.......+ a little shopping opportunity,......multiplyed for the numbers of expats here = ? thb

How many more posts to you propose to keep on rubbishing CM Immigration and boasting you have an Agent holding your hand.

Your boring the pants off most of us, who know we don't,unlike you, live in a perfect world.

Well the 7-1 would be easy I guess & I doubt have any additional fees same as adding phone time or paying a bill?

But of course best of all would be the realization that if one has a valid 1 year extension there really is no good reason for 90 day check-ins is there?

As to the hold ups at the counter due to folks who arrive without a clue as to what to do/fill etc.

A nice solution would be to send them to some desk on the side where a helper/student worker can help them & not allow

them to tie up the que...Seems fair to others waiting

Overall I would disagree with the comments about

"the very poor services will continue at the immgr dept the squalid conditions"

Having dealt with many govt offices in my own country I would say it is pretty normal.

Not fun but then again it usually never is when one has to go to any govt offices in any country

Thankfully it is not that often ...once a year for extension

The 90 day is never a problem since you can mail or even if walking in I have many days to choose from

depending on crowd....Yeah I am not that busy ;)

evenstevens, you could have endured the squalid conditions at the Le Meridien hotel and come to hear the presentation yourself for a mere 200 baht (as a non-member of CEC, I'm assuming) -- chump change for someone like yourself with a private visa agent.

But, never fear, some members of the hoi polloi are hard at work editing a video of the talk which is planned to be posted on the CEC website soon. You won't have to leave the comfort of your mansion in your gated community where you can watch the presentation on your wide-screen TV in HD, wearing your smoking jacket and slippers. (or maybe it's your high rise penthouse accessible only by keycard)

Extremely sarcastic and nasty for absolutely no reason, your true character showing it`s self perhaps? And our evenstevens was not even referring to you in his post, plus to a point I agree with him, because as I mentioned in my precious post, in Thailand I usually do not take anything for granted that things will happen until they actually happen that is from my experience of living here for 31 years.

Perhaps those asking what happened at your meeting were not able to attend, could have been away, ill, or for a multitude of genuine reasons, Madam.
