There is an older farang man with white hair in a small ponytail who rides a KLX 250cc up Doi Suthep regularly.
Ive seen him out and about in other places too.
Rides well, at speed, without a helmet.
Have also seen him take food to stray dogs.

Curious about his story.
Seems like an interesting individual.

Stop and have a chat with him, he does not bite, I've known him for years.

Now ask the moderators by PM to close this inappropriate thread before shit rains down on you.

I see what you mean about stop the thread before the loose nuts take it over. One trying to sell a book that didn't help them.

So be it.

I for one would be interested in hearing any thing about him. It is always nice to hear about people who have been here for years. Some of them have great stories.

The stories that came out on the hippy trail were awesome. It just went to show you that many people have wonderful stories.

I don't think the OP's request is strange at all. In fact, I almost posted here about an older faring guy riding past Maya. He was on a motorbike, not wearing a helmut, and driving with one hand because the other hand was holding a type of flute next to his lips. And he was playing it rather loudly.

How would you and others feel if this forum was used to tell stories and personal information about you? And the inaccuracy of much of the information posted here.

That is what the OP is asking for.

Why can't he just go talk to the man himself and let the man decide what he wants to tell. That would be the civil polite thin, to do, wouldn't it?

But maybe that is asking too much since many forum members seem to be unable to talk with others like their neighbors, shop staff and managers and instead prefer to raise their issues here.

I do not think comparing this with the recent thread about the 12 year old boy is a reasonable comparison, they are very different situations.

I see your point. I myself would be interested but as you say filtering it through Thai Visa with out his permission would be wrong. No telling what some of the posters here would do. I see where two nonsense posts were removed already.

If the guy in question is like many of the other old farangs I have happened to share the same spaces with on my travels, than it is likely that he will be unapproachable and won`t be interested in being sociable with other ex-pats he does not know.

Maybe worth a try and good luck.

Perhaps those obsessed with this man's story might well get a life so they themselves will have an interesting story that others can obsess over.

A large number of rodents following?

That would be the Pissed Piper of Chiangmai!
