I have a non-o visa valid until February 2015. My passport expires in March 2015. I have to do a 90 day visa run tomorrow to KL returning to Swampy 2 days later. Will I have problems with immigration on my return beacuse there will be less than 6 months validity?

But Malaysia requires 6 months months passport validity for entry.

You could do the passport swap to meet the entry requirements for Malaysia.

I would say it is about time to get a new passport. It only takes a couple of weeks to get one for Oz.

Visas cannot be transferred. You will have to use both passports to use the visa in your old passport on entry until your visa expires.

You use both passports to enter Thailand and immigration stamps you in on the new passport after having seen the valid visa in the old passport.
