Kaalle
The pricing of all mma, muay thai, bjj training etc in Thailand is a joke and an insult. Paying the monthly wage of two trainers for a months of training is sick. The funny thing people think its completely natural to come and spend something like 30-40 k baht for a months training, basic accommodation and two thai meals per day. The owners are laughing all the way to the bank and the Thai trainers are sleeping on the floor and barely scraping by. Oh well.... I'm sure they have a monthly fee, if the training is every day. Ponti001
Was today there. Was told 800 THB . That is definitive too much.
paddyjenkins
That would make it a total rip off. It was definitely 500 before. And even then, the few times I went, there was very little actual training. Of the one hour class, 30 minutes was just warm up, then a quick bit of technique followed by a couple of rolls. So basically you'd be paying 800 baht for 30 minutes of actual jujitsu.
Kaalle
Rip off is the name of the game : ) Fighting Spirit in Bangkok is a gym I like. Fairly reasonable pricing, for sure lower then 99% of the other gyms. Also very good equipment. Seems like they have mma/bjj now also.
mataleo
when they started there was monthly price of 5000 bath which was okay, still high but not ridiculous thier web site says 500 per class, but when u come they tell you is 800 per class this prices are higher then London Carlson Gracie top gym, where u got judo, bjj, etc and top trainers and many black belts, and they got top results on competitions.......... paddyjenkins
They said on fb 8000 bath per month. Joke There are clubs in Bangkok whose monthly fees are half that, have a real club atmosphere, equal or better instruction by brown or black belts and have a much friendlier atmosphere. Then again, not much help if you're in Pattaya....

paddyjenkins
Just a little update, there is a post today in the Pattaya forum looking for people who are interested in doing some bjj or/and judo practice. A venue with good mats is available and the cost will be minimal, just sharing the fee for the mat space for a session. So far cheaper than anything else available in Pattaya, could be perfect for people who know the basics and just want a friendly/safety conscious group to practice with.
