July 31, 200619 yr Hi. I'm a first time poster here and I'd appreciate a little help. I returned to the US from Chiang Mai about six weeks ago and as fate would have it, have to stay on. I'd like my Thai friend, who is female to visit me for a few weeks, but defintely not forever (she wouldn't want to). She's been to the US before on a tourist visa, was married to an American and had a green card. She's divorced now and has little in her bank account. All her previous stays were arranged before by others and she's not too bureaucracy-savy. Neither am I really. I just wondered if her previous viits had earned her "points" in the eyes of the gov't and what would be a realistic tack to take to get her here. For example, could she go to the consulate in CM and show her old green card and tell them certain certain things that would make the process relatively painless. Thanks in advance for any help.
