Help with Dj contacts

Featured Replies

Yeah I know you probably all heard this before but yes I do Dj in England in quite a few clubs and have been on and off for the last 16 years. I have played recently with some big names like judges Jules, tidy boys and so on. I know it's a long shot but does any one have any contacts out here thanks

Checkout Mixmag Asia, SIXSIX and/or Champion Sound on Facebook.

All owned/run by the same team but they book much of the overseas talent in what is still and likely always will be a shit market for proper club music. There is an underground scene but it's not anywhere as discerning as a London or Berlin crowd.

I've heard so-called underground DJs play sets that'd have them stretchered out of any decent club in the West.

Having said that, though, there are SO many washed-up, couldn't-make-it-at-home "DJs" here who want to "take people on a journey" (usually to their beds given how self-indulgent and crap their taste in music is) unless you're seriously good, the afore-mentioned contacts won't even bother acknowledging your mixes.

The money is thoroughly <deleted> here as well but that's only to be expected when the Thai DJs will work for 500 - 1000 baht a night. That's £10 - 20

Yeah I've been coming and going from Thailand this last two years ,in all 7 times and I've heard some pretty shit mixes and shit tunes, well out of date with what's really happing in the house music scene, some of these Dj are advertised as big names from England, funny I've never heard of them and I've been clubbing since 1994 but then there is a few which are good , and Sasha was great at the flow club the other day, thank for the tip
