Featured Replies

If you but a new BMW in Thailand, are there or can there be thailand maps installed in the screen in the dashboard?

Also anyone have the X3- how do you like it?

I have a Garmin gps with map now that is excellent. I wonder if their maps can be downloaded onto the BMW map..

My guess is, all software is proprietary and linked to the hardware, otherwise how would they make money. If you must have the Garmin, just take it with you in the car. You may be happy with the BMW maps, however.

Ignoring tollways? My BMW always select tollways when I choose "Effective route"

You'll not find it possible to download the Garmin map to the BMW navigation system.

The Highline version of the X3 has nav as standard. The base version does not.

Mine takes me on elevated tollways, but tells me to drive off the side of them when convenient.

My ex-wifes X3, now 2 years old, certainly has sat nav with Thai mapping. Seemed OK, Not that she used it of course because being Thai she knew everything anyway so did not need guidance from anyone or anything
