LPG tank for American grill

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen the attached type of propane tank that fits an American style grill in CM. I can not find one in CR. Note, that it must have an 8" base not the Thai kind that the base is almost as wide as the tank. Thanks

Assuming you are talking about the fitting at the end of the BBQ hose won't fit the Thai tanks, I had mine replaced by the gas tank provider on his first visit. Been working well for 8 years now.

Next time don't forget the "attached type of propane tank". Without the attachment all I can say is: A normal small Thai tank will work just fine, you will just have to use a Thai regulator and cut the hose where it connects to the burner(s) and use the Thai hose instead

I attached picture and do not know why it was not pictured. I am talking about the base or bottom of the tank. Has not got anything to do with hoses or regulators. Not sure how to make my self any clearer.

The attached picture did not show up again. What is going on?

You will not find such a tank in Thailand. Even if you did you would not be able to fill it since it does not have a Thai type valve but since you don't want to know how to adapt a Thai tank to use on a US grill

there isn't much more I can tell you

The only time that I have ever "had" to have a US style tank (with a circular ridge on the bottom) was with a grill that had the tank designed hang over the side of the bottom platform, such as this:

And when the bracket broke I just set the tank on a pair of bricks and was good to go
