Help with Speeding Fine, and Translation

Featured Replies

Hello

I am in an argument period with my Thai wife now so I don't want to enlist her helps in order to avoid another arguments ..

So I received a speeding ticket in the post box, and I went to the post office to pay the fine.

After receiving my money and processing my payment, the officer gave me 2 envelops, receipts and pointed to the bottom right of the speeding ticket.

I don't speak Thai, but I guess from the officer's body gesture that I need to post something to the address in red printed in the bottom right of the ticket.

This is the bottom right part of the ticket https://i.imgur.com/Wnn8ohl.jpg

These are the "receipts" I received from him https://www.dropbox.com/s/0s7qrcjwko974ii/Speeding%20Fine.JPG?dl=0

Could you please advise me what should I do now ? What is the green paper ? Is it a receipt for the paid money order, or the money order itself, that I need to post to the red address ?

Your helps are very much appreciated, as I want to solve this without the involvement of my Thai wife tongue.png

Where you visiting your mia noi in Lopburi?

These speeding tickets can be a pain in the arsė... normally the whole process is done by the postie, dont know why he did not do it for you... go back there with all the written evidence maybe you find someone more competent.

It should be like this:

The small white receipt is for you.

Envelope nr.1 with the address from the police station who busted you.

Envelope nr.2 with your address on it.

Paper with the photo of your numberplate, green receipt and envelope nr.2 goes into envelope nr.1 and send to that police station.

In return said police station will send you a confirmation of receipt in envelope nr.2.

If you dont like the confirmation of receipt send to your home address write the address from a friend or your workplace on envelope nr.2...

Or send one of your "Mia Nois" to the police station to pay your fine. Hope there was a time where you never had an argument.

Can I pay at any police station, or it has to be Lopburi police station ? There are times indeed when we don't have argument. But when times get tense, for the sake of relationship someone has to be patient and compromising,

Unfortunately, you always need to pay at the police station who busted you. With the ticket send to the car owners adress you should take the postal route, even if it happens that you know/ are near the issuing police station.

If you pay cash at the police and the officer "forget" to register your payment, it could be that when your yearly car tax is to be due, you have to pay the fine again before they allow you to pay the tax...
