soihok Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 As far as I am aware it doesn't exist in the greater picture. Please prove me wrong. I am the Father of a disabled child, devastating as it is, life has to go on. She is 12 now and residing with her Grandparents in Thailand while we (Mum, younger daughter and me) are residing overseas due to my work commitments in order to support ourselves/family. My girl has lived with us out of Thailand until 9 years old when it was apparent that her quality of life was not as desirable to the life she (is now living) could have around the family/community inside Thailand. Anyway, to cut it short. Is there any government help for disabled children? I have already accepted that the answer is no ( I am not new to the country )- unless you know better. Any advice (and not along the lines of leaving Thailand) is appreciated. Location is Korat.
Mario2008 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 There might be some government help, but recalling a case of a disabled child at a former school most help is given through donations from individuals and foundations. You could contact the Paveena foundation and see if they know some organizations or government agencies that might help.
