Lately there seems to be an overload of Thai commercials on Fox Movies HD, AXN, Discovery Channels (SD), and National Geographic (SD) which is really annoying considering we are paying to watch these channels.

I'm curious to know if anyone that is using CTH is seeing the same thing?

I can never understand why people pay for that TV service ?

3.99 for proxy address

Cheap laptop hooked up to TV Hdmi

Hulu

Netflix

Amazon subscriptions

Much less money and a lot more choices!

For me it's not so much that there are commercials, but it's just too many. For example on AXN, Fox ect... when they start to show previews of upcoming movies or programs, it cuts to a commercial for their 4G or Internet service.

Just turning on the telly is much simpler.

It doesn't seem you can watch much of any channel in Thailand without some kind of promo or commercial every few minutes.

While I agree with the sentiment I do not agree with your solutions. An old computer and xbmc(kodi) is all you need... And for free

All you need is an Android TV Box connected to TV via HDMI cable

an internet connection with wifi or Lan socket.

You can watch 100's of LIVE channels using XBMC on your TV, all for free.

You can also stream TV Shows and latest movies OF YOUR CHOICE (no adverts)

ALL FREE and on demand.

With the internet speed that I get here in the sticks, last house on the line with extender amp over 1 kilometer away, streaming is more like an intermittent "drip"! That's why!

To answer your question: on CTH not too much commercials, but between programs, and mostly from the actual channel.

I do mainly view Fox Premium movies , Sky News and BPL,

Thanks, might make the switch but mostly watch HBO, Discovery, History and Nat Geo. I don't mind the commercials if it's from the actual channels but when True started add their own it gets really annoying.

In the original contract with the government they were not allowed

to show commercials, but overtime the government gave into them,

then everyone was hoping for them to reduce the monthly charges,

but they declined and instead said they would improve the programing, biggrin.png

which i suppose we are still waiting for them to do, several years later.

I just record what I want to see and then zip through the commercials on playback! Simple. I also watch at "my" leisure not theirs.
