Could you help me with one information: Do taxi drivers issue receipts in Bangkok? Someone told me they do, but I have never come across any of them having a pad issuing receipts. I need to reclaim taxi fares but can do this only with producing a receipt.

Some do, some don't.

Some of them have a meter that prints them out. But you might be waiting quite a while until one of those comes along.

As a poster above says only some have printers. Most don't. If you have time you might want to call a service to send you one with a printer.

A lot of taxis have receipt printers.

I haven't seen any with paper though.

What about using Uber or similar.

I take a photo of the meter with my smart phone, my company accepts that.
