Hi All

Ok i have just renewed WP for another year and as such have just finished the application of stay for the 1 year visa to go with the WP and now am in the waiting period consideration for the application of stay until the 16th December

Question i have is is it possible to get an extension on the extension of stay visa issued whilst the year visa is under consideration reason i ask they have stamped me in until the 16th December,

How ever i need to leave Thailand around 7th December and come back around 23 - 24 so i would be returning when this visa has expired, so is it possible to get an extension on this to take me from the 16th December expiry date to the 24th only 8 days.

If i was to leave Thailand and come back in on a normal visa i think is 30days will it mess up everything for the visa to go with WP?

Thanks

The report back date of the under consideration period cannot be changed.

You can get a re-entry permit up to the report back date.

You could check with immigration to see if they can get the approval of your extension done sooner,

If not you need to either change your plans or start all over again by getting a new B visa and apply for an extension again..

I have similar enquiry to OP.

My Single entry non-B expires on 1 Jan 2015.

I got my WP recently.

I went to Chaengwattana together with management company with whole stack of documents that I signed with photo of me working & with my collegues, met the Immigration officer , I got a stamp for under consideration. I went on 4 Dec , my underconsideration is stamped 30 Dec.

Stamp: "Application for extension of stay is under consideration of the police dept applicant must contact the temporary permit section in person on 30 dec 2014".

Does this mean I have to go again to Chaengwattana on 30th Dec to get my 1 year extension of stay stamp? or is 30th Dec the expiry date of my visa and I have to go there before this date?

Assuming I get the 1 year Ext of stay, am I done with all the immigration matters ?

When you go back on the 30th they will do the one year extension stamp and you will finished for a year other than 90 day reports.

The under consideration period is not an extension and is valid until your extension application is approved. The report back date is just the date your your application is expected to be approved by.

Many thanks Sir for the prompt response krub.

Will this procedure take half a day like the 1st time I went to chaeng wattana?

Do I have to see the immigration officer again, or just wait collect my stamp?

They have a desk for those that are on an under consideration stamp. You will just hand over your passport and they will do the stamps.

Dear UdonJoe,

I went to Chaeng Wattana today expecting to get my 1 year extension, but I was given another under consideration stamp until 12 Jan 2015, I am to go back again on 13 Jan. No reason given, Is this normal , or is it something I should be worried about.

"...under consideration stamp until 12 Jan 2015, I am to go back again on 13 Jan."

Why do you think you're supposed to go back on the 13th if the stamp says the 12th?

Posted

It just means they did not get the approval finished. It is not unusual for that to happen.

It is nothing to worry about. If there was a problem you would of already known about it.

Terry,

Not sure, thats what my Management company said, they will take my passport on 12Jan to Immigration and than I will have to go back to immigration on 13 Jan.

Thanks Ubonjoe.

Come 13Jan, when I visit Immigration again , they should most likely stamp me for 1 year right?

If not, it my application is considered rejected right?

Applications are seldom rejected. If there is a problem they would contact you for more info and etc.

It should be done when you go back or they could give you another stamp.
