IlikeHD and True problems?

Featured Replies

Is anyone else on TRUE internet having problems with IlikeHD at the moment?

Not that strange as they use mostly hijacked TOT streams..

I am a subscriber to VDSL provided by 3BB : I should have download speeds up to 30 Mbps...but this is only if the server is in Thailand.

The worst international connections are always on Friday evening from about 6 p.m. until midnight...on such evenings sometimes connections to a server in Germany are only 400 to 500 Kbps

Not only on True, but I have TOT 25/3 and its buffering quiet a lot,

while before when i only had 7/1 or 10/1 it was perfect, with 25/3

and the servers supposed to be in BKK it should fly,so somethings

wrong.

It was working really well before but for the last 5 days or so it won't play for more than about 3 minutes without freezing.

No problems for me using TOT 13/1 mbps last night, slight buffering before Swansea game then steady for rest of night.

I find ilikeHD a bit hit and miss, sometimes some channels are better than others.

Yesterday, the 'premier game' i watched (it was Leicester City hence the quotes) was very stuttery on both Thai and English streams, and the English channel had audio problems.

Some weeks it's flawless, but some it is unusable.. yesterday was in between.

TOT 50mb Business Fibre.

I don't use ilikeHD or True, but I 'think' there may have been a general issue with connectivity out of Thailand. I have both TOT & 3BB and while 3BB is generally the more stable for international connections, for the past few days they seem to have been duking it out to out do each other in their 'crapness' with slow international connections. Thankfully (touch wood) they don't seem to suffer this at the same time, so I switch between the two

I am sure, as is usual with Thai internet, without rhyme or reason things will return to normal in a few days.

The really annoying thing for me right now is that my friend in the same soi has the same True cable service as me, the same router and has no problems. The only difference is that his signal levels are much better than mine. Mine are around -6 dBmV his are +8 But the SNR is well above 40 dB so I don't think that's the problem????

Pretty sure they are - their streams are mostly a slightly delayed rebroadcast of commercial Thai ones (not exactly legally one assumes, given the frequent user id overlay displays that are often blurred). Would be crazy to redirect out of the country and back in again, more expensive for them and slower for the users.
