Surat Thani and Surat City of Gujarat State to become twin cities

Surat Thani is set to make itself become the sister city of Surat City in India in another move to enhance its economic strength and foreign ties.

The Surat Thani governor and committee members in charge of economic development of Surat Thani have agreed in today’s meeting to push ahead with the plan to make Surat Thani and Surat City of Gujarat State become twin cities, so that both countries could promote mutual trade, investment, and tourism, as well as exchange of cultural knowledge and activities.

The participants also discussed several other issues concerning the solution to economic problems, including recruitment of local workers for the rubber industry, reduction of the alien workers’ number, the zoning of oil palm plantations, ways to prop up rubber prices, tourism development, the ring road construction project, as well as flood and drought preparatory measures.

Alien workers will be free all over ASEAN. Why worry about that issue ? The rubber price will move up or down according to the demands in the market. The rubber price can not be set political, as the rice price. Only Thailand believes that. Even the communist state of China know it`s impossible. The big general (dictator) in Thailand should listening to other than his lousy advisers.

The only way to rise the rubber price is to reduce the production. Same as rice, reduced production will get the price up. Easy for me, but maybe not for the genius PM.

Will they use the same bar fines? Reciprocal? whistling.gif
