One of those situations where you usually see one everywhere, just when not when you need one with the appropriate sign in Thai on the back that they are for hire.

I take it you can read those Thai signs too and give me a PM when you see one?

Mid sukhumvit - near thonglor.

Have you already tried asking the motorbike taxi guys? If not too far you can rent driver and pickup for around 500 baht and he will also help to carry the stuff in/out the pickup.

Signs on every other pole with pickup for rent and phone number to call. Ask local motorcycle queue for assistance if needed. Should be in the 500 Baht range if not excessively far.
