PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Saturday a 46 year old Australian Teacher reported a drugging and robbery which occurred following an encounter with two Thai women outside of a South Pattaya shopping mall.

Mr. Mario Sista reported to Pattaya Police that he was walking past the Avenue Shopping Complex on Pattaya Second Road when he met the two women who suggested they accompany him to his hotel room. Mr. Sista accepted the offer but first invited the two women to a nearby Pizza Shop where they ate and drank beer.

During the meal, Mr. Sista left the table and used the toilet. It is during this time that he suspects his Beer was laced with sleeping medication. He began to feel drowsy and was assisted to a motorbike taxi who took all three people to his hotel in the Naklua area.

Like they say in Thailand and Thai language " Som Nam Na " .

If you pick up prostitute from outside bar you should expect worst than this. At least those 2 girls were nice enough to leave him with 20 Bahts that he can get himself to police where he must waist hours and days for nothing ....

Ah yes, it's high season alright...

Lesson #47, never leave a drink unattended...

Lesson #47 - ya that's why I even take my drink to the mens room with me, even back in the states I did that.

Not understanding this story.. an Aussie with Euros in his wallet ?

I'm not understanding your understanding.

Aussies and indeed many world travelling tourists moving around the Globe, often have multiple stops in various countries and

carry currencies applicable to where they are spending time and what is convenient to them. Such tourists may have an excess

of a particular currency left over from a previous trip.

Also due currency fluctuations, the purchase of a particular currency in your home country at a certain time may be of an

advantage than that of another currency to carry with you.

Very easy to understand actually.
