Hey guys,

I'm thinking of heading to Bangkok for my first time in a few days (I'm in Chiang Mai at the moment) and my main intention is to climb at the Rock Domain Gym — a great-looking rock climbing gym at this address:

1780 Bangna-Trad Road, Bangna

Bangkok, Thailand 10260

My problem is, I'm not sure where to stay to have easy access to this gym. I'd like to be in Bangkok for at least a month, and go to this gym 3-4 times a week at least, but it seems to be located in a very awkward-to-access position.

My question, then, is this:

If you wanted to access this gym on a regular basis, where would you stay?

Banana itself seems quite depressing and overpriced (but feel free to prove me wrong), but any suggestions are welcome. I don't need specific guesthouse suggestions or whatever. Just a general sense of a good area with convenient access to the gym would be great.

I dont know about hotels near Rock Domain, but honestly it's not as far away as it seems. Taking the BTS from Sukumvit, and then a taxi from Bang Na, and it'll take about 30 minutes to get there.
