December 6, 201411 yr Hello everybody! I'm a swede visitng my family in Rawai until the 25th of december. I wonder if there is any backgammon club or a group of people that play in Phuket? I saw an ad in the Phuket Gazette, it's a man looking for backgammon players. But after talking to my backgammon friends in Sweden I soon realized that this man is a notorius cheater. I'm looking for honest and friendly people that love the game of backgammon, not someone who's looking to rip me of. All the best to you. / Joacim

December 6, 201411 yr If you take a tablet or a laptop, you don't really need offline players. Sometimes I play through MSN or through pogo.com. Sign of the times, real social contacts being replaced by online "communities".
December 6, 201411 yr Author If you take a tablet or a laptop, you don't really need offline players. Sometimes I play through MSN or through pogo.com. Sign of the times, real social contacts being replaced by online "communities". For me, playing online doesn't even come close to feeling the thrill of real dices and doubling cube. Not to talk about the social interaction. Plus online it's a lot of cheating through using software to analyse tha game, if you play for "fun" without money opponents tend to leave when loosing a game. So online is not an option, at all. But thanks anyway.
