New passport (at trendy) and want to extend tourist visa

Featured Replies

I am due to collect my passport (British) at trendy (which only took a couple of weeks i may add).
Obviously they are going to cut the ends off my old passport.
I have used one part of a double entry tourist visa and the first entry runs out in January.
Can I extend that first entry by another 30 days (1900baht) at the local consulate/immigration as usual?

-Also-

In the new year i intend to go out the country for a short while. If i return before the tourist visa expires, can i activate the 2nd entry ok (even though in the old passport)?

Thanks so much for advice on this.

Answer is yes to both questions.

Forgive me for being rude, but can i hijack your post with a query of my own?

I got a non imm O visa from the UK for £125 issued nov 24 enter befor nov 23 2015.

I arrived a couple of days ago and was admitted until March 3 2015

I thought it was a 1 year visa. do I have to leave the country (it is a multi entry visa) to get another three months.

Thanks and sorry but this is new to me

if someone can PM me because I am going away tomorrow and will have no net acess for 5 days and suspect i wont be able to find this page again. thanks

Yes you must leave the country (no minimum time) within 90 days of each entry.

Thanks. is that the only option?#

The visa is valid for one year but it only gives a 90 day entry each time you use it. You must leave the country every 90 days.

I am married to a Thai, I provided a copy of the marrige certificate and her ID card, but no proof of income/money in Thai bank account

You can get a 60 day extension to visit your wife. With that you would not need to leave for almost 5 months.

You can also apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage. You would need to have 400k baht in the bank in your name only for 60 days or proof of 40k baht income. Then just make 90 day reports to immigration.
