Whats with all the foreign women and couples at the gogo bars these days?

Just came back from a trip out to some of bangkoks gogo bars. Nana Plaza. Im usually all business when i head in, im looking for a girl thats my type, i buy her a drink, talk for a bit have a bit of fun in the bar and if the price is agreeable barfine and off we go.

But not the same atmosphere im used to,with quite a lot of western women in there. In fact there were more foreign women in there than there were gogos!

I could see it was making a lot of the patrons uneasy and a bit shy to go about the usual dealings. Im not shy nor ashamed of partying in the way im accustomed over here so didnt stop me.

My worry is its bad for the girls there, i was the only one buying lady drinks and getting friendly with the staff and i was certainly the only patron to pay a barfine.

Just wondering whats the attraction for them there? Why do western women and couples head out to some of the seedier nightspots?

They know its not a strip club, right? Isnt it offensive to them?

Is it they cant find any western men to chase them here, so they go looking for where they are all out chasing brown skinned beauties?

. I was out to dinner with two essan girls, sisters actually not friends down on soi 3 or 4 and an elderly western couple looked none too impressed. What were they doing down there? Did they all mistakenly book their hotel at the landmark plaza?

Could also be curiosity.

They see these places on the news at home and want to experience it for themselves.

Whenever i was on holiday i often went to the go go bars with my male and female friends. It's a good night out, nothing shocks me. The music was good, the dancing was ok and none of the girls seemed to resent me. Like i would take a prospective husband away from them!!!

I also love the ladyboy shows.

Do you expect Western women to be in their rooms by 10 pm watching CNN. We can have a good time out too, if you feel sleezy going to go go's - don't blame it on the fact that Western women are present. Blame it on your own pea brain.

I recognize that bar scene is not my thing : yesterday afternoon , beeing in Bangkok, I walked in soi 4 , just to see ( second time in my life ) : how sad I felt to see these farangs with their beer, loud music and girls around, doing nothing but looking the passers by in the street : nothing more interresting to do ? They are here every day ? all the day time ?
