(people of the northern countries are afraid , that the sky will fall on their heads)

- the light is intensive and the sun is very reliable every morning, with no hesitation (in northern europe, many times it seems, that the sun is not realy convinced to start working- leaving you being afraid, that this could be

Weather, sun,sun,sun,sun.

When you say "women", you mean the female prostitutes, right?

The mostly Isaan women who come there to provide sexual services to foreign men?

Or do you mean the native Pattaya women whose families have lived in the area for decades/centuries?

I used to like it but now I don't.

We live just a little outside of Pattaya so my list is a combination of good things that are not influenced by the seamier side of the town, which never affects us.

1. Great selection of food shopping, I seem to have a better and more varied selection here than I do back in the UK, combined with a great selection of restaurants, of all sizes and types of cuisine.

2. Living on the Dark side.

3. It is a very easy place to communicate with the locals, in shops etc, especially if you have a little knowledge of Thai

4. Close enough, yet far enough away from both the airport and Bangkok. Really easy to slip away to Koh Chang, Koh Samet or over to Kao Yai and with the Bangkok by-pass open easy to go to Chaam and Hua Hin (you don't have to drive into Bangkok any more, reduced the travel time immensely).

5. Having lived in our area for 7 years now we have made friends with some "real people", both Thai and Farang.

I notice that the people who dislike Pattaya often talk about the smutty side of it, or life in the town itself, however, living where we do we never (or very rarely) see any of that. I should add that there are many things that could be added to the list for example easy access to many great golf courses, loads of things for visitors to go and enjoy, the list goes on but we were only asked for 5.

1. JT, living there.

2. The best Ladyboys in the world.

Amazed that nobody has mentioned those..............

3. Baht buses....what people would do without them?

1. Fantastic weather most of the year round here in pattaya! and i love the sun!

2. Cheap rooms ( 2000 baht a month and a 15 min stroll to the beach every day )

3. Didn't come to Thailand looking for romance ( i enjoy being single and doing my own thing )

4. Train station handy for morning trips out for a few baht.

5. Easy location to get to Bangkok when you like!

6. Eye Candy in your face 24 hours a day.

7. Thai meals from 20 baht ( Anti Bacteria tablets available in all pharmacies for 88 baht ...)

I find Pattaya a great place for cheap living and great for those of you that enjoy an " outdoor lifestyle " F.J wub.png

I'm surprised at that.

Personally, I don't mind the place. A mix of naughty, interesting and other things to do.
