German, Thai Woman Shot By 'Jealous' Chonburi Official
By Khaosod English

CHONBURI — Police shot dead a local administrative official in Chonburi province after he fired a handgun at his girlfriend and her alleged German partner late last night.

According to police, Nattapol Yimpakdi, a 54-year-old official at Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organisation, arrived at a restaurant on Khao Lam Road last night and opened fire at a Thai woman and German man, severely injuring both.

Several police officers who were also eating at the restaurant reportedly ordered Nattapol to drop his weapon, but the official refused and fired at police, said Pol.Cpt. Warit Butthijak, an officer at Saen Suk Police Station.

"The officers were forced to return fire," Pol.Cpt. Warit said. "A bullet hit the suspect in a vital organ and killed him."

Nattapol was shot once in the chest, police say. Medical workes say the Thai woman and German man, who are being treated at a hopsital, are in "severe" condition.

Bail the man. I hope the German books a ticket asap.

I was threatened with a gun with the first girl I dated in Thailand 15 years ago. Very very scary

"The man" is dead thankfully.

Were he not the worrying thing is that he'd probably be wandering the streets free on bail to shoot anyone else who threatened his pathetically weak ego.....

According to Thairath, the shot woman's younger sister was married to another German and he'd invited over his German friend, Mr Raat Decker (SP?) for a visit. Once over, Decker began 'flirting' with the older sister which led to the shooting.

Picture of Nathapol under arrest last year after his previous shooting, where he shot and killed a Thai colleague at Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organisation who also allegedly flirted with his former wife.

Which one?

Nobody is pointing.

Something in this report is unnerving me even more:

"Several police officers who were also eating at the restaurant reportedly ordered Nattapol to drop his weapon, but the official refused and fired at police, "

In essence, one might interprete like this:

- they waited or were so slow, that he could finish his attack,

- they only ordered him to drop his weapon, instead of giving him the coupe de grace

- only, when feering for their own lifes, they killed him

- gun training seems not to be high on their list, as they killed him instead of immobilizing him

Police records indicate that Nattapol was previously arrested in July 2013 for shooting and killing a colleague at Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organisation who allegedly flirted with his girlfriend. He was charged with murder but later released on bail.

I can not understand how and why a court system grant bail for confessed and convicted murderers.
That is sick.
