Have any of you considered the possibility of the Russians going to war. That would certainly stop tourism dead in its tracks.

Whole lot of posturing. A war would further cripple Russia's economy and they would not dare with their 80's technology. China won't side with either side and would mediate if things do slide further.

China hold massive U.S debt and it's their biggest trading partner. They can't afford America's economy to slide.

"China hold massive U.S debt and it's their biggest trading partner. They can't afford America's economy to slide." - a war would be a great way for America to default on its debt to China.

Highly improbable - but definately not impossible. Especially when you consider that the defence industry is America's biggest employer.

Most war these days is maufactured for economic gain.

I agree wars can be good for the economy (I thought they were boom times during the Vietnam war) & they are good for getting the people focused on national pride rather than a depression which is looming in Russia. There are also parallels with Germany in the 30s. Russian technology may not be as good as the US (they could see that during the Gulf war) but they have massive manpower & I am sure Putin like Stalin would not be shy to send them into the breech.

So if war does come about the Pegas buses will have to find new folk to carry.
