Looking for a good gym for 1 month membership

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am traveling to Bangkok in a few days and staying for a month. I'm looking for a decent gym that isn't too pricey for a month-only memberhsip. I am staying at the Phra Khanong district, near the BTS stop I believe, so it should be located somewhere conveniently accessible.

Criteria:

-Proper free weights

-Not too expensive

-Variety of fitness equipment

-AC

Swimming pools, saunas etc are a nice extra but not at all necessary. I'm looking for one where a serious trainer can get his workout done properly.

So far I looked at True Fitness and Fitness First, but I believe these gyms mostly do 12 month memberships?

If anyone knows something that would suit the mentioned criteria, please let me know.

Thanks.

I enquired as to how much the new gym at Ekkamie was and it is 5k a month. Not sure if it will suit you as you sound hard core, may be worth a look though.

Ive started my third year membership at True Fitness now. Its good priced for one year memberships and returning customers. I paid too much when I came here on a 25 day holiday autumn 2012. 5000 baht. But I have been to many gyms in my home country in northern Europe and also in a lot of continental countries. Nothing even comes close to True Fitness at Exchange Tower.

Almost any gym will do in Bkk. They are usually good. Just stay away from fitness first(fitness last would be a more appropriate name). It's a typical commercial gym with nothing useful in it.
