My trip to Cambodia and the killing fields

Featured Replies

I have been to Cambodia about 6 times but this time I went to Phnom Phen.

I am putting this in general topics and not just Cambodia because I believe it to be a regional and word Genoicde.

I thought I knew a lot about it from history but I learned some of the political side that really disturbed me as to how the powers that be on the UN allowed the Kramer Rouge to have a seat on the UN for many years . Knowing and supporting this mass genocide ,

My tears went out to the Cambodian people to have went through this . I thought about what I was doing in those years that this was going on . I was drinking in the bars in Canada partying etc

Unaware my self as to what was going on.

I liked the audio when i was at the killing fields when he said somthing like ...we thought it could never happem to us Genocide . .....

It is very real and can happen to any country , I looked on the Internet and found so many genocides in the past 50 years I was actually taken back .

I found this article on the Internet to be a really good read opened my eyes
