And don't mention bikinis or koh Tao that didn't happen.

It coincides with the POLICE STOP - SEARCH - PISS TEST campaign.

Notice in the leaflet how the passport photo portrays the foreigner as the DEVIL.

I'm still waiting for the PM to make good on his offer to write wholesome lakorn. I imagine him sitting at his Remington typewriter donned in his favorite bikini searching for inspiration. He takes a look at the Rath Thai paper draped across his desk and diligently taps out:

Increase tourist arrivals with a Discover Thainess campaign? .. Perhaps a better idea would be to designate the whole of Thailand as a ‘WhoDunit Theme Park’ .. Wannabe sleuths from around the world can arrive in Thailand, choose a crime or scam that interests them, and reveal it to the world via Social Media. Prizes for winners could include: Get Out of Search Free Cards, a list of times when the Grand Palace is actually CLOSED, a free independent Jet Ski damage survey .... etc etc etc etc

I read the article three times and never read where it explained what Thainess is or how they wanted tourists to 'discover' it. If I were TAT, I'd be very selective in the kinds of 'Thainess' I let the tourists discover.

Thainess is existing in a world where the only thought in the head is "I'm Thai, I'm perfect, I can do what I want"

This would not be a problem if there was only one of them, they would just be labelled as a sociopath, a danger to normal society, and be locked away.

Unfortunately, there is more than one of them.

Westerners notice this attitude when they are on the receiving end mostly, but they do it to each other too.
