Any nice BYO New Year's Eve parties in BKK?

I am trying to find out if any of you guys perhaps know of any free-to-join New Year's Eve parties in Bangkok.

I was at this great rooftop party on the 34th floor of a condominium last year. The owner had opened his rooftop for the general public to join in and had even arranged for a DJ. You just had to bring some booze, wine or beer, and there was plenty to go around for everyone. The crowd was very nice, too, a mix of media types, advertising people, etc. Watching the fireworks going off everywhere in the capital was a fantastic sight from that high up. And since the condo was in a residential area off Sathorn, there was no hassle getting a taxi at the metered fare when it was finally time to go home.

Would love to find something similar this year. Have been avoiding for the past few years the over-priced hotel parties and usually over-crowded places like CentralWorld/Nana/Thonglor/riverside/etc. with their extortionate taxi drivers like the pest.

Anyone got a hot tip and would like to share?
