Looking For A Good And Reliable Phone For My Wife...

Hello and Swasdee Khrap,

I just wanted to buy a new phone for my wife, but have no idea what brand. My wife never used a computer in her life, so it might be a good way to get her started.

I saw a Samsung at Big C yesterday that had some good features, but I have no idea which one I should take a deeper look at.

Am I right with my assumption that "Telewiz" Sisaket would be the best choice to buy one>

Any input would be deeply appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

How much do want to spend?

If her friends have nice phones then she probably wants the same brands, face and all that, so iphone or Samsung most likely. Otherwise an Asus Zenphone, Lenovo or maybe i-mobile are better value if she isn't concerned about showing off to everyone.

Realistically, if she isn't using the internet much then loads of quite reasonable phones available now for 3-5,000 baht. She could ask the staff at any shop to try a few out but they may just push whichever one they get the best commission on. Perhaps try a few shops, make a short list from what appeals to her, then go home and hop on the internet to check reviews so as to weed out any ones with obvious faults like very short battery life, low resolution screen or badly constructed.

Again, depending on what you are looking at spending but something with Android 4.4 (kit-kat), a dual or quad core processor, minimum 1GB of RAM and a screen resolution at least 1200 x 800 would be nice, but you're probably looking at 6,000+ for a 5 incher.

Your going to be wrong no matter what you do w00t.gif

Set a price that you are willing to pay and then send her out to get what she want's. Any other way and you are going to be responsible for tech support for the life of the phone

Asus Zenfone 4 or 5 would be a great first phone especially the 5 LTE. Price is good too.

Why the Zenfone 5 LTE? The LTE part doesn't work in Thailand!

If you do want a comparable phone, cost and quality wise then the Benq F5 on Lazada. It's LTE does work in Thailand :-D

Or if you don't want to spend 5,995b then if with AIS the new IRIS 705 or 708.
