Krabi's economy is growing steadily

The southern province of Krabi is enjoying steady economic growth, with exports last month bringing in 272.17 million baht while imports were worth only 20,000 baht.

Ms. Jarunee Jinanukulwong (จารุณี จินานุกูลวงศ์), the Chief of Krabi Treasury Office, said goods exported included cement and gypsum and imports were miscellaneous items. She stated that since import value was very small, the province, therefore, enjoyed a trade surplus of 272.15 million baht last month,

She said the number of new businesses registered in the province, the amount of investments and car sales have continued to increase.

Ms. Jarunee also said booming businesses include tourism, real estate and construction.
