Health clinics accepting government social security?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any private (or semi-private) clinics on Samui that accept the government-issued social security health card? This is the card issued by your Thai employer when you pay social security, that entitles you to free health care at government hospitals/clinics (like Koh Samui Hospital in Nathon, or Bang Rak Health Center). A private clinic in Lamai used to accept this card for free treatment, but no longer does. Does anyone know of any other private clinics (preferably in the Chaweng area) that accept this as payment? Nathon is quite far from me, so I'm just looking for something more convenient.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry - I have never used mine. I have been told that the clinic at Bophut (opposite Orgasmic) will treat you but I have never confirmed this.

Also - Thai only spoken.
