No way they leave the picking of a winner up to the discretion of a few unbiased judges. They might end up with a non-English speaking xenophobe who hates children, is completely unmanageble, totally unreliabe and has a tantrum at least twice a week. But the ploblem is, any Thai going into a contest like this has been thru the filtering process in Thailand - white skin, surgical tampering etc, so she looks pretty to Thai people, but not the rest of the world.
