Five killed, three injured in road accident in Nakhon Si Thammarat

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: -- Five people were killed and three other injured when a pick-up truck fell into the ditch in the middle of the road in Nakhon Si Thammarat's Muang district Monday evening, police said Tuesday.

Police said the truck was cut in the front by a motorcycle, prompting the driver to swerve it before it fell into the ditch. The five killed passengers, who were on the back, were hurled on the road and were crushed by a 18-wheel trailer that arrived at the spot at the moment.

Those flocking motorcyclists are a danger to society. They think they own the road.

I guess this is tongue in cheek ? If I had a 100B note for every time some loaded 4WD was steaming towards me on a blind corner or hill with its lights flashing I'd be a rich man.

It's a sad time when an accident like this takes place, but it will never stop.
