Hello,

I am renting a house in Hua Hin that has a PSI OK dish that has a LNA with two coaxes coming out of it.

The landlord is Thai and he said the last tenant left the dish and can't tell me anything about it.

The coax cables come down into the house.

Is there a low cost receiver that I can buy to use with this dish?

What is the name of the satellite that PSI OK uses?

I am really more interested in experimenting with the dish than watching sports or other programming.

I have a amateur radio license an I am thinking about building a satellite antenna farm, and this could be a good start.

thanks in advance for any info.

It should be directed to 78.5 position of Thaisat 5/6 - could be either C or Ku band antenna as they have both and two leads would most likely be to provide full power to multi outlets but might be a combination of bands. For receiver any GMMZ or PSI receiver (and others) should work. I use both GMMZ HD and PSI OX2 receivers - find the remote of PSI to be more to my liking These run about 1,000 baht but have HD ability - cheaper will be those without HD at about 500 baht.

Unless you get a Thai Amateur Licence and "approved" equipment you are not allowed to transmit.

A moveable dish may be a better option for accessing multiple satellites.
