Where can I get an amulet identified, restored and appraised?

Featured Replies

My FIL recently gave me an amulet and told me it was worth something. I am just very curious to its identity as well as its value to which my FIL would not reveal.

Can anyone highlight to me where i can get it appraised or identified as to the type given the face is very old and its cracking up. I would like to possibly restore its face if possible at all.

I am new with amulets and stuff but have taken a liking to its history and the depth of its foundations.

Thank you

If you think of true value, the real amulet players are here:

Pantip Plaza in Nonthaburi

there is a whole floor of this mall dedicated to amulets, cool place if you understand.

Pantip Plaza Mall Ngam Wong Wan Branch

Hi Jimmy, thank you so much.

How about places within main Bangkok itself?

Outside Sam Sen Nai post office (Saphan Kwai skytrain) at the weekend are dozens and dozens of stalls selling nothing but.

Moved to Bangkok Forum.

My wife has some inherited amulets and we were in Nonthaburi late last year and saw the traders as we walked around.

I asked her if she would ever consider selling and she said that you have to be very careful and that they will try to scam you into selling cheap and even switching your genuine one for a copy.

It seems a bit of a minefield even for a Thai, so whatever you do, be very cautious.

My tip would be don't sell it, in any event he wouldn't have gave it to you if it was valuable.

Thanks all, appreciate.

My FIL himself is wearing an amulet that is claimed to be worth 8m baht.

I guess I too would like to test the sincerity and authenticity of my FIL's words and which may also help dispel any doubts I hold of them.

Regardless, the face of the amulet is cracked and to the untrained eye, would be difficult to identify the type and value. Is there any one honest amulet dealer or shop out there who could really advise that I could be assured of no hanky-panky business as you all had suggested is quite the theme out there.

Thanks

maric you need to read stickman. It will help in future dealings with the fil.
