Internet and home WiFi

My son has a Samsung tablet and a promotion through AIS on a postpaid account.

I pay 699 baht + vat every month for a package called Netsim 699 where he is supposed to get unlimited internet service for that price.

The tablet is only used at home and is connected through my TOT wifi network and is not used outside the house wifi area.

For the last 3 or 4 months I have had an extra 6 or 700 baht or more Internet charges added to my bill, and every month I ring the AIS call centre and it is supposedly removed and the next month it comes back again.

The 2 questions I have are

1 If my son (and my wife as she uses it during the day playing some stupid Facebook game) is going online through my home internet connection then surely I am not using the AIS promotion at all. It just comes from my own internet link AFAIK.

2 If it is not going through my TOT connection then where is it connecting to? The nearest cellsite to me is about 750 metres away but it is only a 2G cell site.

Does anybody have any ideas?

If it carries on like this then I will get a 3G True internet package as their 3G website is only 800 metres away from the house.

Why not have the Internet disabled on that SIM account

Not sure why the tablet needs a mobile Internet account at all ( since it's used exclusively at home on the WiFi connection)

...also, AIS seems to love to bill for non-existent Internet usage. Which is why I have and use the above USSD codes. I have it set on TWO google telephone directory entries.

One thing that you should do immediately, is to cancel that awful package. 3 GB of data which is then slowed down to 128kbps, for 748 baht per month is ludicrous. It's a relic that should be thrown away

Their current packages offer much better value.

But watch out, their deals may run for just three months, at which point you should cancel via CS and then renew the package via short code..
