Just wondering what value this jacket would have?

Its not a fake, it's Bangkok police.

We have no intention of selling it, just curious.

The police on the back folds into the jacket and zips up. Its actually comfortable to wear, nicely made.

Apparently good to leave over the seat of your car, or if a Thai is riding a motorbike they get left alone, but I'm not sure.

Nice souvenir anyhow!

Dont understand why you are asking value if you dont plan on selling it. BS

Ok then I'm selling it, but not to you.

The value of a police jacket is that, suddenly, car drivers no longer drive as though they think you and your family shouldn't be in their way.

Kris, please sell it to me.

Can you imagine a Greek wearing a Thai police uniform, stopping the cars and asking for tea money?

Do you think I will make a TV Thai news headline?

With Greece's financial condition, they need to earn as much as possible. You go Costas!!!!! w00t.gif

Jeez a Greek wearing a cop jacket, he would roadblock his soi and everyone would be paying 200baht.

It's sat in my wardrobe for a few years now, it's in Australia.

Maybe I can trade my way up to a new condo eventually?

Any offers?

I can buy jacket's with "police" printed on them in every mall. Nobody in Thailand cares for them. The real police even don't wear them in my area, they even can't say the word "police".

Honestly i can't even see the difference between the police and a security guard. If i don't see a gun i guess they are not police.

Fake or copied police clothes is not the same. Illegal actually.

And I never knew in a non English speaking country they had to speak English.

I've never met a Thai person who couldn't say "police".

Can you imagine the police officer ordering the jackets from the contractor? "Yes, just "tamruat" on the back please, spelt P-O-L-I-C-E... Yes, in English".
